10 Reasons Why Starting Your Christmas Shopping Now Is A Must!

Have you already begun your Christmas shopping? Perhaps you are super organised and have nearly finished! Maybe you haven’t even thought about starting yet. Well here is a little blog to help you see why starting your Christmas shopping now is a must!

Shop Local…

We all love our local shops and small businesses and most people want to support them as much as possible. Shopping local helps that dad buy his daughter her ballet outfit she needs or helps a single mum kit her boys out in football boots etc. One of the biggest things you can do to help your small and local independent businesses is be one of the people who buys early. Don’t wait until the end of November or even into December to order. This helps prevent bottle necks and stress as it helps businesses spread the work load rather than be ticking over and then all of a sudden they disappear under a mountain of orders all at once and it’s very stressful completing all of those orders on time and keeping everyone happy! If lots of us order early, it helps keeps stress levels down and that way everyone is happy 🙂 Buy early and help ensure you are not pushing a business to work beyond their capacity.

Early buyers usually get better deals…

This is true in many cases including here at Cheeky Little Prints. We often run special offers in October and early November to help encourage you to place your orders early as we know so many people leave it late and then sometimes we have to turn people away, which we really don’t want to do. We are launching our early Christmas offer Friday 25th October and that will run until Sunday 10th November. Anyone ordering silver paw print jewellery will get a free personalised paw print Christmas decoration worth £16! This is a pawsome special offer and it’s our way of saying thank you for ordering early, we really appreciate it 🙂

Spreading the cost…

This is a big one. Christmas can be very expensive but if you spread the cost over several months it is always much more manageable. Get your gift list organised and commit to buying/ordering 2 per week or whatever suits your circumstances. This way you make it much more affordable and possible to purchase all the gifts you would like and not run up huge debts. There is no need to get yourself into debt at Christmas if you do a little planning and start early 🙂

You spend less by not being in a panic and buying last minute…

How many of you have put things off and then ended up spending much more because you are in a panic? Yep, come on put your hand up, we have all been there haven’t we! It may not have been gifts it can be anything. I left it too late to buy the kittens food the other day. I usually get it from our vets as we get a discount due to be in their pet club. I couldn’t get over there so had to visit the shops and ended up paying 25% more than I needed to if had been more organised! So start your Christmas shopping now and avoid the last minute rush, which will undoubtedly cost you much more!

Oh not they’ve sold out!

Ever been in the situation your child asked for something very specific and you had been meaning to order it, but lets face it we are all very busy people, it just slipped your mind. It’s now the beginning of December and you can’t get this toy for love nor money, it’s sold out, nowhere has them available, nowhere! How on earth are you going to explain this to your child? Now while adults would usually be more understanding in these situations, it’s still a total pain when you go to buy something and it’s out of stock and won’t be back in stock until well after you need it.  Start your Christmas shopping now so you avoid this pain!

More time to think and organise more thoughtful gifts

By starting early, you are giving yourself the time to organise more thoughtful gifts, gifts that have real meaning and they really gel with the recipient 🙂 Thoughtful gifts are always so much more appreciated than gifts that someone has bought in a rush or just chosen as they couldn’t think of anything else.

Sort your gift list out and commit to organise/order/buy 2 per week

When you are organised you feel much more in control and that’s a good thing when you are dealing with finances 🙂  It’s also great for time management as well.  We are all so busy these days it’s much easier to find an hour to pop into town or the retail park or search the internet for a couple of gifts than it is to find a whole day to devote to Christmas shopping.  It also helps spread the cost which we touched on earlier.

Helps with budgeting and keeping track of what you are spending to avoid running up big debts

Nobody wants to be stressed in January when they are hit with sky high credit card bills, struggling to pay the household bills and still paying for Christmas months afterwards.  Set yourself a sensible budget for each person you need to buy for and food required etc.  Then start your shopping early so you budget, spread the cost and avoid big debts 🙂

Less stressful!

Beginning your Christmas shopping now makes everything a lot less stressful.  No last minute panics spending more money than planned as they don’t have the gifts you need now or you have no idea what to buy and spend more than you should making up for that.  Panicking in case you have forgotten someone.  Have everything written down, tick them off as you go and begin now so it is not a stressful experience 🙂

Those special and more personalised gifts should not be bought or ordered in a hurry!

This is something we can definitely relate to and help you with at Cheeky Little Prints HQ!  Personalised gifts are our speciality and we know they take a lot of time and care to create.  Ordering early means we have more time to create your gifts, we don’t feel under pressure so can, therefore, continue to deliver high quality gifts, made exactly as you wish.  Beginning your Christmas shopping early really helps small businesses like Cheeky Little Prints to serve as many people as possible.  The more of you who order early, the more of you we can serve.  If more people leave it late, it means we have to bring our Christmas deadline forward and turn some people away, which we really don’t want to have to do but we have to ensure we have enough time to create every gift and jewellery design to the high standards we set ourselves.

Don’t forget to take advantage of our Early Christmas Offer from tomorrow Friday 25th October.  It is our way of saying a little thank you for ordering early 🙂

  • Please note you cannot use your loyalty discount code in conjunction with this offer.  You can either use your discount code or claim the free personalised paw print Christmas decoration 🙂
