Silver Paw Pad Print Jewellery

Brand New Silver Paw Pad Print Jewellery Range Launched!

We are super excited to reveal our brand new silver paw pad print jewellery range!

Would it be possible?

We firstly need to give a big shout out to Luisa and her gorgeous dog Jack who sadly passed away at the beginning of 2019.  Before Luisa had to say goodbye to Jack she got in touch with us and asked if it would be possible to create some special jewellery using Jack’s paw pad print. Luisa liked our silver paw print jewellery but wanted something different, something even more unique.  I took a step back to think about how we could make this happen for Luisa, she was so sad knowing Jack didn’t have long and I really wanted to make this special jewellery a reality for Luisa.

Time to try something new

After a little thought I had come up with a possible way to capture Jack’s paw pad print.  I explained to Luisa that I had never done this before but was more than willing to give it my best shot for her and Jack.  So a new type of print kit was posted to Luisa with some instructions and we crossed fingers and paws our idea would work!

Capturing the texture and detail

Jack was a very good boy, so patient as Luisa used the moulding putty I had sent her to take some prints from Jack.  Luisa then messaged me some photos of his prints to see if they looked ok before she posted them back to us.  I then set to work to make a reverse mould of Jack’s paw pad prints and then capture as much texture and detail from his print in the silver.  After a little trial and error I managed to capture Jack’s paw pad print in the silver and showed Luisa what it looked like so far.  Luisa decided which of the two prints she liked best and choose a regular heart charm and chain.

Close to her heart

Luisa was over the moon with her necklace when it arrived, showcasing Jack’s unique paw pad print on the front and his name and a kiss hand inscribed on the back.  Being able to keep a part of Jack close to her heart was so very important to Luisa. Jack was nearly 17, had 3 legs, was deaf and over Christmas had started to go blind.  Even though he was still happy, Luisa didn’t want to keep him going just for her benefit, she knew that in the coming weeks or months she would have to make the heart breaking decision that every pet owner does their best to avoid.  Four weeks after receiving her special necklace, Luisa messaged me to let me know she had said goodbye to Jack and she was totally broken :'(  Saying your final goodbyes to a treasured pet is devastating, there is no way around it.  We all find comfort in different things and I feel especially honoured to be able to help a lot of pet owners have a special keepsake they can treasure forever.  Silver paw print and paw pad jewellery really does help you keep that connection alive and keep your furbaby close to your heart.

New range now available

2019 was an incredibly busy year rebuilding the website and making lots of other big changes so there wasn’t much time for new jewellery designs to be created. 2020 has started in a somewhat different way, not how we expected it and certainly now how we wanted it.  However, we are all in this situation together, working out how to get through it and it’s meant we have had a bit of time to devote to finally creating some beautiful paw pad print jewellery samples so we can launch this new range and make it available to all of you.  You will now see on the website a range of designs that are available to order now and more will be added in time.  Simply place your order and we will send you a print kit and full instructions on how you can capture your dog’s unique paw pad prints at home.  This range of jewellery is best suited to dogs, as their paw pads tend to have more texture and detail than other pet’s such as cats.

Peanut

Big shout out to Peanut the cockapoo who very kindly visited us to lend his paw and allowed me to take some paw pad prints from him.  Another big shout to Luisa and her other 2 dogs Dash and Mali, particularly Dash who was a real star having his paw pad prints taken while Luisa took photos so we could produce a nice instruction sheet for you all.  You can find more details about this beautiful range of silver paw pad jewellery in our shop and if you have any questions please get in touch below and we will be happy to help you.  Our paw pad jewellery designs are currently in the paw print jewellery section on our website at the end, so scroll to the end and you will see them.
