Christmas jumper day was first launched back in 2012 by Save The Children to raise much needed funds for this amazing Charity who help make children’s lives better. Christmas jumpers for pets is also now a thing with a lot of pet parents buying a Christmas jumper or outfit for their furbaby to wear as well. Try googling Christmas jumper for pets/dogs/cats, you’ll be surprised how many different jumpers and outfits there are to choose from!
The main aim of Christmas Jumper Day is to raise money to help build a better future for our children, particularly those who are vulnerable and need our help. Sadly 2020 has been a tough year for a lot of people and now more than ever we need to pull together to help each other, especially children. I don’t have a Christmas jumper myself but I do have Christmas hats and but both my children take part in Christmas Jumper Day each year and both take in £2 donations to school. This year my eldest is remote learning due to his school being closed but he will still be wearing his Christmas jumper on Friday 11th December on zoom and I can still donate the £2 via the school’s payment app, which is great news.
As I mentioned above, this awesome day has developed over the years and Christmas jumpers for pets are now very popular. So much so you can now choose from a wide range of Christmas jumpers both on the high street in places like Pets at Home and online from various websites such as Etsy. All sorts of festive outfits are available like Santa coats (modelled by the gorgeous Jack below), jumpers with snowmen, reindeer, penguins and elf designs, you name it, it’s pretty much available! Christmas jumpers come in all shapes and sizes to fit the wide variety of furbabies you all have. Here are a few photos below of pets wearing their festive Christmas jumpers and suits…
