Valentine’s day is fast approaching and I bet you haven’t even thought about a gift yet have you?  Well before the panic sets in fear not, Cheeky Little Prints are here to help you 🙂

Do you have a special person in your life?  If yes, believe me you are very lucky.  There are lots of lovely people out there who are still looking for their perfect partner.  So if you have found your Mr Right or Mrs Right, make sure you hang onto them and really take time to appreciate each other.

A little appreciation goes a very long way…

Valentine’s Day is a day of love, a day to celebrate your relationship and show your partner just how much you love and care for them.  There are endless ways in which you can make your partner feel incredible ranging from very simple and thoughtful gestures to elaborate gifts and experiences.  Maybe you are in a relatively new relationship and you are really not sure what to do to make your partner feel special.  Perhaps you have been together many years and you feel you know each other very well.  Either way, giving your partner the love and attention they need, want and deserve will never do your relationship any harm 🙂  Here are a few suggestions you may want to try this Valentines day…

You can’t go wrong with the tried and tested romantic meal for two.  You could opt for a local restaurant but make sure you book up very soon as they get booked up quickly.  But we have children I hear you say, so that means finding a babysitter!  If this is you, simply have your romantic meal at home.  Put the children to bed, a little early if you can 😉 and why not dress up, making an effort will make your partner feel special and you will feel good too.  Why not cook your romantic meal together, cooking with your partner can be a huge amount of fun!

Adventure awaits…

Plan a fun activity you can do together, a common interest, something you will both enjoy.  Seeing as Valentine’s day is on a Tuesday this year you could plan your activity for the following weekend.  You could either plan the day together or why not surprise your partner.  Visit a favourite town, go walking in the countryside, spend the day relaxing and recharging in a spa, go away for the weekend or embark on an adventure.  I quite fancy doing one of those tree top adventures or if you love horse riding (like me) book a hack together at your local stables.

Capture your special memories…

Life is so fast paced these days, we rarely stop and take time to really appreciate what we have and reflect on the precious people and animals in our lives.  Memories are made everyday with the people and animals around you, yet how often, if ever, do you stop and capture those memories?

You can capture your special memories by simply taking photographs, but what happens then, do they stay sat on your phone or perhaps you post them on Facebook or your other social media accounts?  Why not look through your photos and pick a favourite one of you and your partner and also with your children and pets if you have them.  Once you have chosen that special photo get it printed onto a nice canvas so you can hang it in pride of place on your wall at home and look back at that memory for years to come.

And most importantly LOVE yourself…

Let’s not forget those of us who are singletons this Valentine’s Day!  So if you are still looking for your special someone, don’t be sad, celebrate being you.  Take some time to pamper yourself….  Ladies treat yourself to a new dvd (Bridget Jones’ Baby has just come out) and snuggle up in your pyjamas with a box of delicious chocolates and paint your nails to make you feel fabulous 🙂  Or why not get a group of girls together and go out to the cinema, stopping off at the nail salon on the way of course!  Guys, spend some time chillaxing with your favourite sports programme/box set or if you are adventurous go out cycling or climbing.

Oh and if you fancy swapping those around go right ahead, I am sure there will be some great manly films at the cinema and if you feel a desire to paint your nails too gents, why not, it will certainly be a talking point in the office the next day!  And girls, why not dust off your trainers and find a piece of adventure, you never know, you might bump into a lovely guy doing just the same as you!
