Pets come in all shapes and sizes…

If you didn’t already know, it is National Pet Month from 1st April until 1st May, which is fantastic as the UK are a nation of pet lovers.  Pets come in all shapes and sizes from tiny furry little hamsters to our huge canine friends like St Bernards and everything in between.  I have a tabby cat called Tiger and I know many of you have cats too, they are amazing and curious creatures.  The love and bond shared between owners and their pets is hard to describe, as it is so strong and personal, no two owner – pet relationships are ever the same.  Every pet you have will be different, not only in size, colour, shape and name but most importantly they are different in personality 🙂  Pets often provide a great deal of support to humans during challenging times, a support that is unwavering.

National Pet Month gives us a fantastic opportunity to take time to think about our pets and the relationship we have with them.  Take stock and really appreciate all the love and support they give you.  How empty life would be without them meowing for their breakfast or chewing your favourite pair of shoes!  The decision to have a pet is big one and which type of pet suits you best is an important consideration.  Do you have young children, are you out all day, are you elderly so perhaps need an animal that does not need to walk several miles a day?  Unless you have owned a pet, you will never really understand the love and bond shared between an owner and their pet.  Pets are family members and can often share your life for many happy years.
