I can’t believe it is June already, another 4 weeks and we will be half way through 2017!!!!!!
Becoming a new Mum…
Today I want to share with you Gillian’s story of when she fell in love with the idea of capturing her newborn Daughter’s tiny handprint in stunning silver to celebrate her 1st Mother’s Day! This turned out to be the beginning of many purchases that date all the way back to 2012! Over the years Gillian has ordered a range of keepsakes for herself and her husband, as well as gifts for family members. Gillian’s gifts and keepsakes include; a handprint necklace, ceramic clay hand and footprint plaque, several hand and footprint mugs, a Christmas plate and bauble, a handprint clock and some paint your own pottery items that Orla had huge fun painting at home 🙂
Discovering Cheeky Little Prints…
I recently caught up with Gillian to ask her about how she found out about Cheeky Little Prints and what made her place an order and capture those special memories….
I first met Lisa in February 2012, she was print taking in Newbury. Her products caught my eye as I had recently had my Daughter and loved the idea of the handprint necklace for my 1st Mothers Day. She has such a professional manner and made us feel at ease and explained how she made the charm from the handprint taken on that day. I loved so many of the products that I decided to host a print party with my antenatal group friends for Father’s Day. Lisa was amazing, she had 8 new mums and babies getting lots of items created. All the items my friends bought were fantastic so I hosted a second party with another group of new mums!Since then I have purchased hand and footprint mugs for several family members and she even made a charm necklace for a friend in Scotland. It’s so important to support local businesses like Cheeky Little Prints and Lisa has a pure talent and dedication to her business. We have a handprint clock in my Daughters playroom and she loves the hand and foot print ceramic that hangs in her room from when she was 6 months old. I love every Christmas when I get to display my Mistletoes plate and Christmas Bauble. I cannot recommend Lisa enough to create beautiful keepsakes.I loved the idea of getting a hand print charm necklace for my 1st Mothers Day. She has such a kind and caring nature that makes you feel at ease when getting your prints done, or covering your childs hand/foot in paint!!
Capturing and creating lasting memories with friends…
Even though it was 5 years ago, I still remember meeting Gillian in Camp Hopson in Newbury and taking Orla’s handprint for her necklace. The print parties Gillian hosted were so much fun! Lots of lovely babies feeding and having cuddles, looking around the room and taking it all in. Mums having a bit of time to chat about how they were adjusting to life as a new Mum, sharing tips on feeding and getting through the night! When you are a new Mum it is so important to have a good support network around you, and other Mums are great for providing support, helping you realise you ARE doing an amazing job and you’ve got it covered. Getting out and socialising is very important in the early days, never underestimate the power of having some adult conversation! One of the most lovely things about this is that I become friends with a lot of my clients 🙂
I do quite a few print parties, particularly in the run up to Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas. A great opportunity for Mums, babies and toddlers to socialise and at the same time capture those extra special memories. There is nothing cuter than tiny footprints on ceramics or set into stunning sterling silver jewellery. I love providing excellent customer service, it is very high up on my list of priorities and is likely to be one of the reasons a large number of my clients return and place more orders again and again!
There is still time…
If the calendar turning over to June now has caused you a bit of a panic as you don’t have your Father’s Day gift organised yet, fear not as you still have 1 week left to order your Father’s Day gifts. The deadline for orders is 8th June 2017, see the shop for some inspiration…
I may be able to squeeze in 1 more print party before the 8th June if you book it in quick! If not get in touch and find out what dates are available for print parties after Father’s Day. I am looking forward to meeting more of you very soon.
