Life is so fast paced these days, we rarely sit back and take stock of what is going on in our lives. Stop and take a minute to think through what you have going on in your life right now. Then cast your mind to all those things on your to do list that never get done because we simply run out of time, or perhaps we are just prioritising the wrong things?
We often take the people and things in our life for granted, we expect them to be there forever and not change. That is simply not the case, we are ageing every day, our babies and children are growing every day, life changing events happen every day, and yet we still kid ourselves things stay the same and will always be there.
Don’t get me wrong, change is good and even when change initially feels uncomfortable, it usually works out positively in the end. I love change and have become pretty good at embracing it, however, at the same time I also like to capture certain moments in time, especially with my family and friends. It also means the world to me to be able to keep my loved ones close to me wherever I go.
You can keep your little one’s close with silver hand/footprint jewellery, even during the times they can’t be there holding your hand. I carry both my boys’ unique handprints safely in my sterling silver star necklace that I wear everyday. Silver hand and footprint jewellery is the second most popular type of jewellery I create and it is one of my personal favourites and I am going to tell you a little more about it below.
Capturing your special memories…
Capturing your little one’s unique hand and footprints is stress free and mess free with an inkless hand/footprint kit. The kit is quick and easy to use and inkless so there is no mess ? Hand and footprints can be captured from newborn babies and there is no upper age limit. The oldest person I have taken a handprint from is a 100 year old lady. I then captured her handprint in a silver charm as a gift for her Great Grandaughter ? So silver hand and footprint jewellery can be created with prints from people of any age.
Getting it just right…
There is quite a lot to choose from and I can appreciate it may feel a little overwhelming, so I will give you some tips on choosing the right charm.
- Small charms are best suited to bracelets and dainty necklaces.
- Regular charms are best suited to necklaces (they tend to be a little large for bracelets but it’s down to personal choice).
- Large charms are best suited for necklaces, especially when you have more than one print you would like to capture on the same piece of jewellery.
- Cufflinks are available in square, circle and cut out shapes.
- Regular keyrings are best suited for 1 print and large keyrings are perfect for 2 prints.
They grow up so quickly…
One minute we are bringing them home from the Hospital for the first time and the next minute they are celebrating their 1st birthday! The first weeks and months (or years some might say!) are a haze of sleepless nights and nappies! Even though we try out best to enjoy and take in each stage it is easy for some things to get forgotten. I remember being given a little casting kit as a gift when my eldest Son was born and sadly I never ever got around to using it. I was very sad I had not captured his tiny hand and footprints when I had the chance. I then set up Cheeky Little Prints when he was 10 months old ?
Taking hand and footprints with my easy to use inkless kits is so quick and simple, there is no need for you to put it off and miss capturing those beautiful little fingers and tiny little toes. Inkless hand/footprint kits can be ordered for just £2.99. Once you have captured your special hand/footprints simply email a photo or scan of the prints to me to check ([email protected]). I will tidy up your prints and send you the tidied up prints to keep forever. You’ll also receive a discount code so you can save 10% when you order any personalised stamps and silver hand/footprint jewellery.
I am very passionate about everyone being able to capture their special prints. This is the exact reason I began offering hand/footprint kits on their own. Previously you had to order a piece of jewellery in order to get an inkless hand/footprint kit, as was the case with most if not all silver keepsake jewellery companies. I am over the moon these kits are being ordered and used to capture very special memories.
Don’t wait and put it off, capture your little one’s prints today. It’s not too late and you will always have those special prints to keep and treasure forever.
