Why dress up your pet?
You might be thinking why would I dress up my pet, or on the other hand you may be sat their counting the number of outfits your furry friend already has in their “wardrobe”! The concept of outfits for pets has grown considerably in popularity over the last few years. This is very evident if you google pet outfits, dress up my pet etc, you’ll be surprised at the wide range of outfits available. Pet parents dress their pet up for various reasons and on many occasions e.g. they may have an outfit for their birthday or halloween, Christmas, valentines day etc, the list goes on.
What kind of outfits are available for my furbaby?
When choosing an outfit for your pet, there are a few things you will need to consider, first and foremost will they wear it!? In general dogs are much more tolerant of wearing outfits than cats, having said that there are exceptions so try first with something like a Christmas hat or a nice bandana to see how they respond to it. Outfits for pets can be something as simple as a pair of sunglasses and a sun hat as seen here, fabulously modelled by Dash!
Pebbles looks beautiful in her festive Santa jacket. You don’t need to go all out and cover your pet in clothes and accessories for them to participate in National Dress Up Your Pet Day, a simple hat or bandana can really look lovely on cats and dogs. A few accessories like sunglasses, a teddy bear and a little sign next to them are perfect for a little ‘at home’ photo shoot!
