Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all well, I can’t believe it is December already!! I wanted to write a little blog to say a HUGE BIG THANK YOU to each and every one of you!
A few months ago I was nominated for an award, Business Mum of 2016. It was an anonymous nomination so I don’t know exactly who to thank for nominating me in the first place, but whoever you are, thank you so much 🙂 I had a lovely warm feeling when I read the words this person had taken the time to write when nominating me for this award, I will pop them here for you to read…
“Lisa has created a very unusual personalised jewellery business. She is constantly working on her business and looking for ways to improve. She does this, not only as a business woman, but as a single mother with two children. She has experienced a lot of personal change in her life this past year but continues to support her family and her business with energy and determination.”
I do work very hard, as do most other people and 2016 has been a very challenging year for me on many levels. Some of us face more challenging obstacles than others and these obstacles come in many many different forms, for example, being over worked, financial pressure due to lack of funds, bereavement, illness, children being poorly, family needs and the list goes on. I was over the moon to be nominated, it means such a lot that someone took the time out of their day to put me forward for this Award 🙂
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to write me the most wonderful reviews to support my nomination, all of your comments were very heartfelt and appreciated. We all love to feel appreciated and it is something to keep in mind. Make sure you are appreciating others around you and letting them know how much you appreciate them. You don’t have to make extravagant gifts or gestures, just saying thank you for your help, offering your shoulder to cry on to a friend in need, a small bunch of flowers, an unexpected phone call or saying “I love you” can totally change the direction of someones day. Believe me, I know this to be true, a lovely compliment or thoughtful comment makes you smile so brightly inside for the rest of the day.
Winning the Runner Up Prize for Business Mum 2016 really does sum up what I am about, my boys Ollie (8 and a half) and Jake (nearly 7) mean the absolute world to me and I love them with every tiny part of my heart and soul. On top of the huge, deep love and commitment I have for my beautiful boys I also have a great passion to help others capture their special memories, that they can treasure for a lifetime and beyond. The opportunity to keep a part of your loved one with you wherever you go is such an amazing gift, and one I truly love giving to you all.
So once again, THANK YOU to each and every one of you for making this possible and helping me win Runner Up Prize for Business Mum of 2016, I am very very proud 🙂 Here’s to all the amazing memories we will create in 2017 🙂
